We are a small and friendly day nursery in Aberystwyth town centre.  We are registered with the CIW and care for up to 57 children per day, aged from six weeks to 8 years old. We operate throughout the year, from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, closing only for Bank Holidays, one week at Christmas and one week in August.

highly recommended quality childcare for babies and toddlers in Aberystwyth

We have recently renovated our spacious outdoor area with a purpose built play house and deck for the children and imaginative role-playing games. A digging area for the budding builders and mud kitchen that can help children to learn about the natural world around them. Alongside this we provide other stimulating outdoor toys and activities including larger pedal and push along toys to develop the children’s gross motor skills. The garden is completely enclosed and safe with soft rubber matting beneath large equipment. We play outdoors as much as possible, at least twice a day, often taking craft activities and messy play with us................. : -)

The nursery is open-planned with a dedicated room for each age group below:

Rose room - for babies from six weeks to one year old

Lilly room -  one year to two years

Daffodil room -  two to three years

Poppy room - three year olds

Bluebell room - for older children and pre-school aged three to five years old

We understand the importance of quality sleep and rest at a young age.  We have a range of sleep facilities available including a dedicated cot room specifically for resting.  Each child has their own set of sheets, there is a baby monitor and the room is routinely checked by the staff when it is in use.

We have a large and secure car park within our grounds for safe drop off and pick up for parents travelling by car.

Healthy & Sustainable Pre-School Scheme

We have become involved in the Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme at nursery and we have completed the first six stages: The Preliminary Phase and Food, Nutrition and Oral Health and Physical development phase, Hygiene and Mental & Emotional Health, Wellbeing & Relationships & Health and wellbeing.

We have reviewed some of our policies with regards to healthy eating and we use the 'Designed to Smile' scheme which sees the children brushing their teeth at nursery and promoting oral health.

Each stage of the scheme will take a minimum of a year to complete and there are many elements to consider and provide evidence for.

We are now working towards completing the Environment stage element.

Other stages that will be studied include:
